Actually, I don't like pepper, I never have it on food but it is quite a different matter in gin. Of the 35 gins that my 4 friends and I tasted at the Bournemouth Gin Festival, on Saturday, this was hands-down, unanimously, one of the most outstanding gins of the day. It's served with Pink Peppercorns but these are just savoury, more than having any heat. The gin is warming, creamy and peppery and tastes very different to anything else I've ever had. It's slightly sweet but nowhere near as sweet as Audemus Pink Pepper gin. It's really very savoury and tasty. My favourite gins are those that are garnished with herbs or citrus fruits, Pink Peculiar is a real departure from this and I'm excited to find something very different.
