Created from the passion and experience the British countryside brings, Two Birds spirits was founded in Leicestershire and is produced in the quaint, market town of Market Harborough.
All the Two Birds spirits are produced in small batches of 100 bottles at a time, in a still handmade by the founder. Two Birds take natural spring water and use a small but perfectly coordinated spectrum of ingredients to make a fabulous range of drinks.
A wonderfully aromatic gin with sage, coriander and lavender as a vanguard. Two Birds Gin is fresh yet delicate on the palate. A classic London gin full of big pine and winter berries whose floral note adds an intriguing piquancy.
Two Birds....where to start...it's my new favourite. I discovered my love for Gin at a bluegrass festival (of all places), which had cider, vodka or gin on offer. I can't stand the first two, so I opted for the latter, and I'm so glad I did as I've never look backed.
The Gin Festival in Cardiff was where I discovered 'Two Birds'. I was a little hesitant at the start..as much as I love Gin, I'd only really ever had the "mainstream" brands found in bars, pubs and supermarkets...Gordon's, Bombay, Hendricks... These were not on offer at the Gin Festival and I wanted to try something new. I went round all the different bars, I sampled a few before buying and bought a number of different Gins to try, with extravagant garnishes floating in them... My gin life was sheltered to a slice of lime, lemon or cucumber (if offered at the establishment with Hendricks, which is rare unless you request it).
Of all the gins I tried at the festival, none of them made me want to spend another drink voucher having a second..until I tried 'Two Birds'. I chose it, as I was reading the booklet, and wanted something clean and refreshing to wash away the previous taste of what l'd had.
My glass became empty very quickly, it was so easy to drink, and with the added cucumber garnish, it was extremely refreshing. It has a wonderful combination of flavours, the floral tones are a delight! I went back and had two more, most likely defeating the object of the festival to try different ones each time... But I didn't care as I'd found a new love!
It is the perfect gin to add to tonic to have on a late summers evening in the garden, at a wedding or on a picnic blanket in the countryside (spirit). It's sugar and spice, and all things nice!
I have a few friends and work colleagues that drink a lot of Gin, and I've recommended 'Two Birds' to them all, as it has replaced Hendricks at the top of my Gin list. It's worth every penny of the £28, and I'm hoping to receive a bottle of it for Valentine's Day to replace the one that's finished. Go on! Try it! You won't be disappointed...in the unlikely event that you are, please send it my way!
Another winner from the gin festival set of 5 that warranted being brought. I agree it is delicate and does have an intriguingly different taste than some others.
