Bathtub gin is without a doubt my all time favourite gin.

In a gin world which is ever growing, bathtub gin still stands out on its own, with its intense botanicals and amazing flavours.

This gin is so addictive, that i find myself craving it when i have none!!!

I recommend serving it with your preferred tonic, over plenty of ice, with orange peel.

The smell of the gin is wonderful and complex. It is hard to explain the smell fully, but you are greeted by warm botanicals such as cardamom, clove, coriander and cinnamon.

The first sip you take is complex, crisp, light and dark at the same time. It is wonderfully umami and the mouthfeel is wonderful.

It makes for a relatively bitter gin, but the texture is creamy and the flavours marry well.

I find that orange really helps pull the spices out from the gin, and enhances that flavour i am looking for.

Bathtub gin is simply one that must be tried, and will aways have a special place in the gin world!

The fantastically innovative gins by Professor Cornelius Ampleforth are produced in small batches though cold-compression and it is this, combined with the exciting range of botanicals that make his gins so memorable.

Bathtub is a wonderfully exciting gin; the key note of this gin is its juniper but to reduce it purely to that would be a tragedy! The use of the spiced botanicals (coriander, cloves and cardamom) adds a great depth to the drink whilst creating a creamy mouth feel.
