Light and elegant, Lilliard Gin is the first gin distillery on the Scottish Borders.
Determined to reinvigorate the lost distilling heritage of the Scottish Borders, Lilliard Gin are a very new, recently crowdfunded, micro-distillery. Both the gin and name were strongly influenced by the local terroir; the gin takes many of its botanicals from locally foraged ingredients, while the name is that of a the legend of a local heroine who died defending the ground (that those botanicals are grown on) from the English.
Lilliard Gin, a spirit made from botanicals that are (as far as possible) foraged from the Teviot Valley, alongside local spring water, is utterly evocative of its environment. Clean and fresh, with delicate floral tones, this is a lush and gentle gin.
