Eccentric Gins Madam Geneva
A London Dry as it should be! Eccentric Gins Madam Geneva is simple, dry and juniper forward with citrus and a touch of liquorice.
Eccentric Gins are based in the cellars of an 18th century building which has stood in Llantrisant for over 200 years. The gin is distilled with a natural spring that runs within the stone walls of the wash room. Their gins are distilled by brewers, mixologists and even a freeman of Llantrisant. Llantrisant’s ancient tradition of the freemen has survived through the mists of time. More than 660 years since the first were enrolled, it remains as significant today as it did in medieval times.
Alongside the juniper, citrus and hint of liquorice, there are some subtle floral and sweet characters created by the sacred duo of meadowsweet and wild sunflower.
I'm a newbie gin drinker. We were in a shop in Cardiff and they were doing tastings and somehow the guy talked me into trying it and I've never looked back.
It's a clean and crisp taste without being to sharp or acidic.
Mixes beautifully with tonic and any citrus, my fave is a mix of lemon and lime.
