CollaGin is full of tangy citrus with a subtle warming spice. This unique gin uses collagen - reportedly anti aging and good for skin, hair and nails!
CollaGin was created by talent all over England, the concept and design was created by two female 'gintrepreneurs' in Oxfordshire, it is distilled in the oldest gin distillery in the world based in the Midlands and bottled in Lancashire! CollaGin’s recipe uses 11 botanicals including the traditional such as (anti ageing) fresh orange, anise oil, pink grapefruit and orris. Then the unusual ingredient collagen was added - a protein naturally produced by the body, which gives skin and tissues strength and elasticity. The production lessens as we age leading to wrinkles, joint problems etc. Which is why it is often used in cosmetic surgery, leading some to call this spirit the beauty drink du jour.
CollaGin opens with bright citrus on the nose, notably lemon and candied orange peel and faint notes of spice. This continues and develops on the palate, ending with a soft, short and dry finish.
