The oft forgotten elder sibling of Bombay Sapphire, Bombay Dry Gin is a classic London Dry Gin, heavily inspired by Thomas Dakin.
Bombay Spirits Co. was born during prohibition when two friends (one of whom owned the very speakeasy that they were in - the infamous Gaslight Club) decided that they would create a gin, modern but inspired by gin’s varied history. As well as an old recipe, they also came across an interesting technique - vapour infusion. Creating a range of delicate gins, Bombay is particularly popular with the American market.
A traditional London Dry gin with intense lemon on the nose, Bombay Original Dry Gin, has wonderfully strong juniper on the palate backed up with those strong lemon notes. There is a slight sense of burning pine alongside faint floral tones. A very well rounded gin.
