‘Oriental Citrus’ takes the classic Skully Gin London Dry Gin as a base and is redistilled with exotic citrus fruits. Including the very unusual looking ‘buddha's hand’, a lemony ‘finger-like’ fruit belonging to the citrus family. Along with this intriguing fruit, lemongrass, sweet orange, lemon, lime, yuzu fruit, licorice and vanilla come together to create a balanced, refreshing and exceptionally smooth gin.
This balance of fresh flavours means this the perfect cocktail making gin! So here's how we're mixing up Skully Gin Oriental Citrus this month!
THE SOUTH SIDE
- 2 parts* Skully Gin Oriental Citrus
- 2 wedges of lime
- 4 sprigs of mint
- 1 tablespoon of cane sugar (or 1 teaspoon sugar syrup)
- Cracked/crushed ice
- Top with soda water
Muddle the lime, sugar and mint in a firm cocktail glass (put in glass and gently press with a spoon). Add the ice and gin while stirring until the sugar dissolves. Crown the glass with ice and top up with soda water, garnishing with lime and a sprig of mint.

* i. Parts made simple. Just stick to the ratios, so if you are making a jug ¼ of the jug could be 1 part, ½ the jug 2 parts. For 1 cocktail, 1 part would be approx 25ml and a dash 5ml, if you are making 2 cocktails, 1 part would be approx 50ml and so on - experiment and give it a try.
ii. If you don’t have a cocktail glass you can always use a wine glass!
