Uncle Val's Botanical Gin is a little bit special, which is why we chose it as our May Gin of the Month! A real taste of Italy (and we all know how good they are with food!) Uncle Val’s is full of local Tuscan flavours, including lemon, sage, cucumber and lavender. Perfect for a summery G&T or delicious cocktail.
1 part Uncle Val's Botanical Gin
3 parts premium Tonic
Garnish with a wheel of orange, ta da!
Add to a shaker/pint glass
2 parts Uncle Val's Botanical Gin
½ part Fresh lemon juice
Handful Fresh raspberries, muddled (gently pressed with spoon)
½ part Simple Syrup (mix 2 tbsp boiling water and 2 tbsp sugar, stir)
Plenty of ice
Shake it, shake it yeah! Then strain into tall glass with ice, top with club soda and garnish with a wedge of lemon, simples.
* i. Parts made simple. Just stick to the ratios, so if you are making a jug ¼ of the jug could be 1 part, ½ the jug 2 parts. For 1 cocktail, 1 part would be approx 25ml and a dash 5ml, if you are making 2 cocktails, 1 part would be approx 50ml and so on - experiment and give it a try.
ii. If you don’t have a cocktail set you can shake the ingredients together in a pint glass using your hand or anything flat to seal the top and then strain through a sieve.
