The Fizzy Buzz Of A Chilled Gin & Prosecco

Start a New Love Affair This Summer

Long sunny days and warm moonlit nights are perfect for sharing with someone special, and a spring fling has nothing on a hot summer romance.

When two very different but equally charismatic personalities get together on a balmy summer’s evening, they can create some great chemistry together.

Exactly the same can be said of the greatest summer cocktails.

When you invite ever-popular gin and sophisticated champagne (or prosecco, of course) to meet in the same glass and in the right conditions, magic happens.

To prove our point, we’ve concocted recipes for the very greatest combinations of gin and fizz for you to enjoy all summer long.

They’re so simple and elegant that preparing them is no sweat, even in the hottest heat. Just keep your glasses cold if you want to get fresh.

Mix any one of these decadent cocktails, give a glass to someone sparkling, and watch the bubbles rise as the sun sets.

Raspberry Royale
Bold, fresh and fruity, this cocktail is fabulously forward. The raspberries add a tart edge to the fizz, and blend their own floral aroma with that of the gin botanicals for a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Ingredients:
25ml gin (we suggest Pinkster, a dry gin which already has raspberries as a botanical)
5ml sugar syrup
Raspberries
Prosecco / champagne
Method:
Combine 1 raspberry, the sugar and the gin in a cocktail shaker.
Shake it, shake it and shake again.
Strain into champagne flute.
Top with prosecco or champagne.

French 75

A classic gin cocktail, French 75’s are long and refreshing – just the sort of summer evening you want. The gin has a dryness and floral complexity while the champagne adds a flirty fizz to liven things up.

Ingredients:
25 ml gin (you want a classic London Dry, such as Bimber, with strong juniper flavours)
10ml sugar syrup
12ml lemon juice (approx. 1 lemon)
Prosecco / champagne
Method:
Combine all ingredients (apart from your bubbles) into a cocktail shaker.
Shake it, shake it and shake again.
Strain into champagne flute.
Top with prosecco or champagne.
