Sparkle & Fizz Gin Cocktails

It’s the perfect time of year to indulge in these decadent and easy to make Sparkle & Fizz Gin cocktails, adding a touch of sparkle to a cold day. We’ve put together 5 cocktails for you to try and the best thing is they all take less than 5 minutes to make! Treat yourself, your mum or your best gin buddy to a touch of luxury.

SLOE GIN FIZZ
One of the easiest to make and still a cocktail fit for a queen (or king), beautifully sweet and full of fizz. Sloe gin and Prosecco may be one of our favorite combination ever. Using a rich sloe gin like Elephant Sloe, you really do taste the fresh and sweet bursts of sloe berries. Hints of nuts and spice follow blackberry on the finish.

Add to your champagne flute*:
1 part* Sloe Gin
2 parts Prosecco

That’s it. A delicious classic!

*For a quick guide to converting parts into ml and how to make cocktails with what you have in the cupboard, take a look at the end of the blog.

RASPBERRY ROYALE
Gorgeously bold, fresh and fruity. The raspberry garnish and raspberries in Pinkster gin add a perfect, tart edge to the sparkling bubbles.

Add to your shaker/pint glass:
1 part Pinkster
Dash of Sugar syrup (make a simple sugar syrup by mixing equal parts boiling water and sugar)
2-3 Raspberries
Plenty of ice

Seal, shake it, shake it and shake again. Strain into coupe glass*, top with prosecco and garnish with raspberries.

FRENCH 75
A classic gin cocktail, French 75’s are long and refreshing. The classic London Dry gin has a dryness and floral complexity while the prosecco adds a flirty fizz to liven things up.

Add to your shaker/pint glass:
1 part* gin (we recommend Premium Harrogate Gin)
Dash of Sugar syrup (make a simple sugar syrup by mixing equal parts boiling water and sugar)
½ part Fresh lemon juice (approx. 1 lemon)
Plenty of ice

Seal, shake it all about and strain into champagne flute. Top with prosecco and garnish with lemon, ta da!

LOVING FIZZ
The Loving Fizz really showcases Zymurgorium Turkish Delight, rich, sweet and delightfully simple to make.

Add to your shaker/pint glass:
2 parts Zymurgorium Turkish Delight
5 Raspberries
5 Mint Leaves
Plenty of ice

Seal it, shake it and fine-strain into an ice-filled copa glass. Add a splash of Prosecco, garnish with a sprig of mint and enjoy.

BERRY BELLINI
Always a popular choice, we’ve all had some great Bellinis. Try this delicious gin twist with bold, red raspberries and Edinburgh Raspberry Gin Liqueur. It’s gorgeously fresh and fruity.

Add to your shaker/pint glass:
Muddle 3 raspberries (put in a shaker or pint glass and gently press with a spoon to release the juice).
1 part Edinburgh Raspberry Gin Liqueur
½ part Fresh lemon juice
Plenty of ice

Seal it, shake it and fine-strain into a chilled champagne flute, top with prosecco and garnish with raspberries, mmmm.

* i. Parts made simple. Just stick to the ratios, so if you are making a jug ¼ of the jug could be 1 part, ½ the jug 2 parts. For 1 cocktail, 1 part would be approx 25ml and a dash 5ml, if you are making 2 cocktails, 1 part would be approx 50ml and so on - experiment and give it a try.

ii. If you don’t have a cocktail set you can shake the ingredients together in a pint glass using your hand or anything flat to seal the top and then strain through a sieve.

iii. If you don’t have a champagne flute or coupe glass you can always use a wine glass.
