You heard right...8th visit. We just can’t get enough of the beautiful city. With so much to do and explore, make sure you have your weekend planned down to a T! If planning isn’t your forte, then don’t worry we've got your back. Our guide to a gin filled weekend in Liverpool is full of the bars, restaurants and activities that are just too good to miss.
Let’s start with a G&T (or two)
Located on the busy and upcoming Bold Street and only a short 5-minute walk from the Met Cathedral, make sure Leaf is your first gin pit stop.The laid-back, vintage decor makes it the go-to place for casual pre-drinks. With a long list of delicious gin creations including cocktails, infused spirits and copas using all natural ingredients, Leaf really does serve a tasty gin and tonic!
Hidden in the Baltic Triangle is a little gem that goes by the name Botanical Gardens. Famous for their gin cocktails, craft beer and chilled atmosphere, Botanical gardens is the perfect place to soak up the British sun (if it makes an appearance)!
The neon sign lit Motel Bar was voted by Buzzfeed as the best late night bar in Liverpool and that’s exactly what it is! Their menu is full of sweet shop inspired cocktails including the famous Rhubarb and Custard gin cocktail. The perfect way to end a gin filled evening with your gin buddy.
If you plan on filling your boots before heading to Gin Festival Liverpool then look no further than Mowgli. With restaurants in Birmingham, Manchester and London the Indian street food diner is a winner when it comes to good grub. These Indian dishes are seriously tasty and always full of flavour and colour, plus they're also extremely healthy and often vegan, bonus! Exactly the way Indian food should be.
When the ‘few too many G&Ts’ from the night before start kicking in, then head over the East Avenue Bakery for a delicious pick me up breakfast. With a menu catering for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans, East Avenue Bakery put together the heartiest breakfast boards in Liverpool, including fresh bread and coffee every morning!
You may know of the Tate Modern art gallery in London, famous for its collection of Pollock, Auguste Rodin and Warhol but who knew Liverpool had an extensive collection of its own? Located in the Albert Dock and only a short walk from the Liverpool One shopping and leisure centre, Tate Liverpool makes the perfect afternoon trip.
Originally used as warehouses and factories back in 1846 these dock buildings are now home to the Tate Modern, The Beatles Story and the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Littered with some of the trendiest bars and restaurants, look no further than the Albert Dock if you fancy a relaxed afternoon soaking in a bit of scouse culture.
