As a tea obsessed population and with the gin scene ever growing, there’s really no better way to enjoy your next brew than with an added splash of our favourite tipple - gin.
These G&Tea's with Tonic are perfect for jazzing up your tea party, not to mention making it a whole lot more interesting! Alternatively, they are probably the only G&Tea you can drink in the office at 11am, so make the most out of it.
So here we have it, our 2 perfect G&Tea combinations.
1. The English Breakfast G&Tea
50ml London Dry Gin - we recommend Burleigh's London Dry Gin for a fresh, citrus flavour
150ml Tonic water
The juice of half a lemon (plus a slice to pop in after)
1 tsp Loose leaf English Breakfast tea (or use your favourite type)
Handful of ice
Very simply pour the gin, tonic and lemon juice into a glass. In a separate glass/mug pour roughly 20ml of boiling water over the tea leaves and leave to brew for around 5 minutes. Strain the tea-infused water into your gin and tonic. Add ice and a slice of lemon to finish – then serve!
2. The Earl Grey G&Tea
Add the tea leaves to the gin and leave to infuse for up to 2 hours (the longer you leave it, the more pronounced the flavour). Strain and discard the tea leaves.
To serve, mix the gin with chilled tonic water, garnish with slices of lemon and serve in teacups for an air of eccentricity.
Mountain pine, lemons and fruits of Corniolo come together to create a smooth and complex flavour. We are proud to call Tovel’s our gin of the month.
