Gin Festival Event Manager:

Wages: £22,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time Permanent with a 6 month probationary period

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Help source suitable venues for new festivals, organise site visits and make venue bookings

  • Negotiating terms with suppliers and venues

  • Support the Event Director to prepare management plans and safety documentation

  • Prepare and distribute publicity materials such as press releases, posters, banners

  • Attend events to manage the set-up, delivery and breakdown

  • To manage safety and customer service

  • Produce and undertake customer satisfaction surveys

  • Ensuring insurance, legal and health and safety obligations are adhered to

  • Coordinating staffing requirements and briefings

  • Post event evaluation

  • To carry out other duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the post as directed


Skills, qualifications and experience

  • 2+ years proven event management experience

  • Excellent time management and organisation skills

  • Approachable, confident and ability to build and maintain relationships

  • Proven people management skills

  • Good IT skills

  • Full clean UK Driving Licence

  • Ability to multitask and work on several projects

  • Personal License (preferable but not essential)


The role is hands on and often involves working away from home. When away from home all transport and accommodation costs are covered and days of in lieu are given to cover for weekends worked in the weeks that follow.
