Gin Festival Events Assistant/Contracts Administrator:
Wages: Starting wage £16,000
First 6 months trial, pay review after 6 months.
The role of Events Assistant/Contracts Administrator is to assist with all operations, planning, running and organisation of our events. To be an active team member of our expanding events team, to provide support to company directors and event manager, and to fulfil all jobs as reasonably asked. Specifically, to take charge of sourcing venues and negotiating terms before handing over to event manager.
Main roles and responsibilities:
Assist with the day to day planning and preparations of our events programme.
Sourcing venues in areas as directed by management and arranging site visits.
To then follow up negotiating costs and terms before finalising contracts and handing over to the relevant event manager.
Attend events to assist with the set-up, delivery and breakdown. To take on a variety of roles at the events such as bar work, off-licence sales, running a token stand etc.
Supervision of defined aspects of an event to manage safety and customer service.
To carry out any other duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the post as directed.
The role is hands-on and often involves working away from home, we are a nationwide company with a full calendar of events. This role is demanding and involves weekend and evening work. Events Assistants are contracted to work up to 3 events a month.
When away from home all transport and accommodation costs are covered and days of in lieu are given to cover for weekends worked in the weeks that follow in agreement with line managers.
